A Member Section (MS) is defined as any formally recognized group of TSID members with common goals and interests in a particular interpreter role/setting, and consistent with the mission of TSID.

BLeGIT
It is the Mission of the Bisexual, Lesbian, Gay, Intersexed, Transgendered Interpreters/Transliterators (BLeGIT) of TSID to be a forum for discussing current interpreting issues, provide information and resources for professional development opportunities and provide a professional and positive venue for discussing topics specific to the BLeGIT community, and primary support the members of the special interest group. All TSID members are welcome.

The Contract Interpreters Member Section supports interpreters working as independent contractors in a variety of community, legal, medical, and educational settings to provide a professional and supportive environment with a particular focus on developing sound business practices. The purpose of Professional Deaf Interpreters Member Section of the Texas Society of Interpreters for the Deaf (TSID) is to advocate for the needs and interests of TSID members who are Deaf and to strengthen the ties between all members and officers of the TSID by open recognition of the bilingual and bicultural diversity of the TSID membership. The purpose of Trilingual Interpreters Member Section of the Texas Society of Interpreters for the Deaf (TSID) is to advocate for the needs and interests of TSID members who serve the Deaf community in facilitating communication with American Sign Language, English, and Spanish and to strengthen the ties between all members and officers of the TSID by open recognition of the trilingual and multi-cultural diversity of the TSID membership.
